Arthritis

Conditions

Arthritis is a widespread joint degenerative condition in majority of adults but unfortunately is not well understood by most. “Arthritis” is not a single disease; it is a combination of joint pain and joint ailment. Common signs and symptoms include joint inflammation, soreness, stiffness and decreased range of motion. Symptoms can be mild, moderate or severe. Severe arthritis can result in constant joint pain, inability to perform activities of daily living and difficulty walking or climbing stairs. Permanent joint damage can be caused by long term arthritis. A simple X-ray of the joint is the easiest way to check for the presence of arthritis.

Following activities will be helpful whistle joint symptoms of arthritis are mild or moderate:
  • Balancing activity with rest.
  • Equal activity with rest time.
  • Using alternate therapies i.e.: hot and cold.
  • Time-honored physical activity.
  • Nurture a healthy weight.
  • Strengthening of joint musculature for added support.
  • Adopting aiding equipment.
  • Pain relievers or anti-inflammatory medication.
  • Avoiding excessive monotonous actions.
